In China, increasingly more urban residents are living in small residential communities within the city, known as “小区.”
These communities are densely populated, as each one includes numerous residential buildings. In most cases, each “小区” also includes many easily accessible public service facilities as well as things like kindergartens, schools, health clinics, stores, and fitness centers, providing a convenient living environment for the residents inside.
In such communities, there are usually management offices responsible for security and daily community management, services for which each household must pay an annual management fee.
