How should I react to Chinese people's praise?

I've been having trouble recently. People are always praising my Chinese, but I can only say things like 你好 and 谢谢. I feel embarrassed everytime because I don't know what to say. What's a good way to respond?

You can just smile and say:谢谢!or you can say honestly:没有没有,我的汉语很一般(My Chinese is average),只是会一些日常用语(only can speak words and expressions for everyday use).or more modestly:“过奖了(you flatter me),我的汉语还差得远呢!(I still have a long way to go.)”Maybe this lesson(Text2) can help you, too:

Hi,Patricia:
Did you find all the above answers are very useful? You can also respond with "nǎlǐ nǎlǐ, wǒ cáigāng kāishǐ xué hànyǔ", which means "you flattered me, I'm just a beginner."
Please watch the latest update on our website and feel free to ask more questions. Thank you very much.

You can answer in the way mentioned above. But your own ways are also OK. Most of Chinese people especially those who speak English are able to understand answers like "thank you", by which they used to get confused.
