Mexican Movies from the 50’s: Luis Buñuel in Mexico

The film director Luis Buñuel was born in Spain and moved to Mexico in the 40’s where he made his most important films. He is the creator of the New Mexican Costumbrism during the 50´s: the fatality of the forgotten, small town odysseys, human comedies and eagerness for redemption that falters when faced by the onslaught of personal weaknesses.
